With a powerful local campaign already underway featuring Australian sporting legends competing for naming rights, Elastic took the reins on the Kia Tasman global launch for the name and badge.
We knew this vehicle was more than just another model. It represented a defining moment for Kia Australia and the global ute market. Our mission was to create something worthy of that milestone: a cinematic story that connected the ute to its spiritual home – Australia.

With a tight, aligned production crew, we shot for 5 days between a very raw, working forge, and the mountains and cliffs of Tasmania. We made the most of key learnings and relationships from previous campaigns, in order to make certain the results for Kia Australia and Global.
Setting the scene in the Tasmanian wilderness, we weaved our story between the fire of a forge, to the sun rising on dramatic sea cliffs. From quenching steel, to waves bubbling and crashing on rocks, and from the dust created in the forge, to the dust created on the testing ground.
All of this led to one car, one line, and one name.
Dust settles. We don’t.
